“My work lies between fiction and reality, exploring attention to detail, humour and the surreal. I am interested in illustration that challenges conventional formats and subjects found in illustration today. I believe that illustration can adapt and unpack complex ideas to make them accessible and vibrant for both children and adults. The relationship with the reader and an understanding of graphic and spatial elements as a whole is really important in my work, underlining and emphasizing my exploration of the book as an object. In each project I try to find a meaning and challenge the reader to connect with the world and their own emotions.”
